The company was founded by Finlay Milnes, a former Royal Navy Weapons Engineering Submariner (WESM) who achieved the rank of a Leading Hand. Finlay began his career as a machinist by serving his apprenticeship in the Sheffield steelworks. This foundational experience led to his first role operating manual and CNC machinery within the machine shop, before he joined the Royal Navy to gain military knowledge and discipline.
